Two Days on Campus: Our Pop-up at Honam University

No stage, no speeches. We just set up in the hallway of the Comics & Animation department and waited for class to let out.

Day 1, morning — Setting up in the hallway

The hallway outside the department is covered in student work, years of it. We parked our Turing Pro 19 stand next to that wall, put the red DigiDraw banner by the door, and that was it — we were open. Our banners ended up shoulder to shoulder with the department's own poster board, which felt right. It's all drawing, one way or another.

Day 1, afternoon — The bell does the marketing

As soon as classes let out, the table filled up. Turing 14, Basic S/M and Smart S/M in a row, laptops plugged in, pressure on. Some students sat down and didn't leave until they'd finished a whole piece. Others dragged their friends over to show them how the lines thicken when you press harder. The hallway stayed quiet, but there was always someone at the table.

Up close

You can't fake fundamentals. These are sketches students did on the spot — clean lines, confident from the first stroke. At that point our job is easy: hand them a good pen and get out of the way. Two strokes in, they know what the hardware can do.

Day 2, morning — Supplies arrive

Morning of day two, the sandwich boxes showed up, each one with a Honam University × DigiDraw sticker on it. Drawing for hours takes it out of you, so we made sure everyone who stopped by had a pen in hand and something to eat. The boxes emptied about as fast as the seats filled.
